What is
Sniping?
If you’ve
lost an auction because someone else bid just before the auction
ended, you know the feeling. Sniping is a strategy that advanced
eBay users employ to buy things on eBay. During the course of
a normal auction people see the auction and bid on it. This makes
the price of the auction go up and up over the time period that
the auction is active for. Most users that use eBay with any frequency
have smartened up.
eBay users
are getting smarter.
Now people
wait until the end of the auction so as not to drive the price
up. The major problem with this is that auctions end at all hours.
If you want to wait ‘till the end of an auction to bid and the
auction doesn’t end until 3AM, you may not want to stay up and
waste your time waiting for the auction to end.
Let your
computer bid for you!
Engineers
have now developed ways to let your computer do the bidding for
you. The best part is, it will bid in the last seconds before
the auction ends, and if you pick the right software you don’t
even have to have your computer turned on. |
